There are five difficulty levels, five game speeds, and challenge rules that you can mix and match to customize your experience. The seventh time you do this, you need to complete a series of quests to defeat the Forces of Evil once and for all. You will also get a new curse, which makes things more difficult. In campaign mode, at the end of each level, you will be awarded a spellbook to use in all future levels, the strength of which depends on how many quests you were able to complete in the previous level. Meanwhile, you need to make nice with various factions, and you’ve got to work quickly, because the Forces of Evil are coming, making it necessary to move on to a new location and start again. ![]() Otherwise, it sounded right up my alley – you manage a magic school, building classrooms and services, hiring staff, and creating houses to focus the studies of certain students. The reason I thought I wouldn’t like it all that much is that, like every third game released in the past two years, there’s a card mechanic, and I am so over card games. But sometimes a game surprises me, and Spellcaster Universitydefinitely surprised me. Rather than keep them on my wishlist forever, I will play them on Game Pass or Utomik, and then move on. Supporting Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) in our annual campaign will help grow environmental education in North Carolina, and support our vision to inspire those we work with to create an environmentally literate citizenry.I fully admit that a big part of what I enjoy about gaming subscription services is the opportunity to try out things that intrigue me, but that I don’t actually think I’ll like. This picture is of our Board during our conference this year, demonstrating our love for EE and EENC! Your donation with help us provide and promote programs and resources to help teach about our environmental systems, understand humans' role in environmental issues, and build critical thinking skills needed to address complex environmental issues to find solutions. I have served on the Board of Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) since 2011, and I believe strongly in our mission to build connections, provide professional development, and promote excellence in environmental education. Y et today's children, your children or grandchildren, will inherit and will have to address, complicated environmental issues facing our world.Įnvironmental education (EE) is a solution. We are losing our connection with the natural world, which means it is difficult to foster care and concern towards the environment. Many of today's youth do not have these experiences and are one of the first generations to grow up almost entirely indoors. Family vacations were often trips to National Parks, spent around campfires, and fishing. That is them in the picture on the top of my page, on their way to the top of a mountain somewhere! Because of them, I had a free-roaming childhood and spent hours exploring our neighborhood with friends. Thank you again for your support, and here's to 2018!!ĭo you remember a nature-filled childhood? Did you spend time riding bikes, running in fields, climbing trees, playing in streams, and stargazing? Who were the adults that led you on adventures, and helped you build your connection to nature?įor me, it was my parents. Especially those that might be looking for one more 501c3 to donate to before the end of the year. ![]() Can you believe it?!! So if you value environmental education and think EE should remain at the forefront of education, with the best trained professionals delivering programs, please share our fundraiser with your friends. I am here to tell you that we are only $659 from meeting that $20,000 goal for our organization. It was in early December - so we decided to challenge our all-volunteer organization and shoot for $20,000 by January 1. As an organization, we met our original goal of raising $12,000. I raised my goal, and met and exceeded THAT goal. Thanks to your generosity, I met and exceeded my goal. Those that know me, know how much I value this organization: our members, the work we do, and the EE community in NC. As we wind down 2017, I want to thank everyone that has donated to my effort to help raise funds for Environmental Educators of North Carolina.
